Galla Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the Galla app and its server. By signing in you agree to them.

1. What Galla does

Galla helps a shop make bills, keep udhaar (credit) records, track stock, staff, expenses and accounts, and prepare data for GST and the shop's accountant.

2. Your shop, your data

• The records you enter belong to your shop. You can download them, or delete your account, at any time from More → Your account.
• When you enter details of your customers, staff or suppliers (names, phone numbers, amounts), your shop decides why and how that information is used. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, your shop is the "data fiduciary" and Galla processes the data on your behalf only to run the app. Only enter details you have a fair reason to keep, such as for billing and udhaar.
• You choose who joins your shop (staff, partner, CA) and what they can see. You are responsible for removing people who should no longer have access.

3. Bills, tax and accounts

Galla calculates GST, totals and reports from what you enter. You remain responsible for the correctness of your bills, rates, GST returns and books. Check filings with your CA. Galla is not a tax or legal adviser.

4. Fair use

Don't use Galla for anything illegal, to send spam, to make fake bills, or to try to access another shop's data or attack the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

5. Availability and backups

We back up data every night and work to keep Galla running, but the service is provided "as is" and may sometimes be unavailable. Bills made without internet are kept on your phone until they are sent. Logging out deletes bills that have not been sent yet; the app warns you first.

6. Security

Keep your Google account and phone safe. If a phone is lost, use More → Your account → Log out on all other phones. If we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

7. Price

Galla is free during testing. If paid plans are introduced, we will tell you in advance and you can download your data before deciding.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Galla is not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or business, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

9. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will show the new date here; important changes are announced in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of India.

10. Contact and grievances
